About the Communion of Saints Confraternity

We are a Catholic confraternity faithful to the Holy Catholic Church. We adhere to all pre-Vatican II teachings, and use the traditional Catholic Calendar. We have access to validly ordained and consecrated Clergy, but are not seeking approval as a confraternity at this time. All adult Catholics may join the Confraternity. There is no monetary obligation to be a member, and no donations are expected.

‘The Communion of Saints’ is the ninth article of the Credo, referring to the union between the living Catholic faithful with the Saints in Heaven and the Holy Souls in Purgatory; all with Christ as the Head of this Union. Confraternity members seek to store up Treasures in Heaven with the assistance of the Saints.

All members are included in the daily prayers, works, and sacrifices of other members. A Mass is said for Confraternity members at least once a year.

Any voluntary donations are used for Masses said for our members, printing of booklets, and for the upkeep of the Confraternity website. The Director(s) of the Confraternity receive no monetary gain.

Our Guidelines (Precepts)

  • The Purpose of The Communion of Saints Confraternity:
    • For the sanctification of Confraternity members. All members partake in the prayers and sacrifices of all the Confraternity. Masses will be said for Confraternity members at least once a year.
  • How members seek sanctification:
    • Members avail themselves of the Treasury of Merits of The Church; seeking Indulgences, and participating in The Communion of Saints.
    • The development of the Interior Life. Prayer, Mental Prayer, and Contemplation are a part of our daily lives.
    • Purification of members’ lives; their hearts, minds and souls. Confraternity members are in the world, but not of the world.
  • The activities of Confraternity members:
    • Prayer is the main occupation of Confraternity members, especially for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. Intercessory prayers for the deceased include: those for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, such as family members, Confraternity members and others. We also pray for the living, whether for ourselves and our needs, Confraternity members, and for others. If possible, pray the Holy Rosary daily.
    • Learn and live the Holy Catholic Church’s truths, and participate in valid Sacraments.
    • Moderation in efforts helps prevent feeling as though your activities are burdensome. Even small efforts done with great love for God pleases Him.
    • Participating in retreats offered by the Confraternity. At this time, the retreats are held online.
  • How to join the Communion of Saints Confraternity:
    • Email us at: csconfraternity@gmail.com to inquire.
    • None of the precepts of the Confraternity bind members. No vows or promises are needed to become a Confraternity member.
